Oxen and the cart:
Today like yesterday, the Costa Rican typical cart furrows the national highways, under the constant impulse of the oxen and the untiring conduction of the cowherd. The hills of the lack of understanding are sometimes heavy and nevertheless they follow ahead, slowly and obstinaty, furrowing in the middle of vertiginous and globalised times, looking for spaces for recognition and remembering to us with its physical and symbolic presence, that are ingrained in the heart of our identity nacional" (Double, Murillo and Chang. 2004)
